2009 Buick Ratings, Reviews and Awards
Despite GM's Chapter 11 reorganization in 2009, Buick re-emerged as the core brand due to their success on the Asian marketplace. Their line included the LaCrosse sedan, the Enclave crossover SUV, and the Lucerne luxury sedan. The sporty yet rugged Enclave replaced the Rainier, Rendezvous, and Terraza by delivering eight-passenger seating and supreme comfort and the power of a 257 horsepower V6 engine along with ample cargo space. QuietTuning engineering and high-end features like tri-zone climate control can be found on the Enclave as well as the LaCrosse, with the sedan featuring entry-level accommodations from six-speaker stereos to power driver seats. Buick's 2009 Lucerne, however, became an award winner with its 227 horsepower V6, four-speed automatic transmission and upgraded safety features for the 2009 year. Luxury features include Bluetooth connectivity, XM traffic reporting, and an optional V8 engine for added power. Stability control and brake assist safety features are standard on CX and CXL trims for the Lucerne.
