Adding the 911 Turbo last year, Porsche has prepared another level of performance updates for their top-tier sports car in the 2002 model year. Buyers of the base Porsche 911 will be concern to take pleasure with 20 extra horsepower from an enlarged flat-6 engine. Growing from 3.4-liter to 3.6-liter, the 2002 Porsche 911 Carrera and Carrera 4 features 320 horsepower. Usurping the 911 Turbo as the most potent variation of the Porsche 911, the GT2 model roars into 2002. Propelled by a boosted version of the 911 Turbo's engine producing 456-horsepower, the rear-wheel drive Porsche 911 GT2 incorporates a number of other performance optimizing components such as standard Porsche Ceramic Composite Brakes. With a new available performance package, all-wheel drive 2002 Porsche 911 Turbo engine power can be bumped to 450 horsepower. For 2002, the 911 Carrera models come standard with an onboard computer LCD readout in the tachometer. A few minor changes have been added to the Boxster and Boxster S for 2002.
