I30 adds several enhancements for 1998 including new color options. Completed redesigned in 1997, the INFINITI Q45 gains minor upgrades in the form of seat belt pre-tensioners with load limiters. Both the I30 and Q45 add front side airbags for 1998. Introduced in 1997 as INFINITI's first sport utility vehicle, the QX4 continues into the 1998 model year with standard All-Mode 4WD system influenced by a 168-horsepower 3.3-liter V-6 engine.
