The Milan was introduced in 2006, offered as a brand-new family sedan that featured a signature design with four-cylinder or V6 engine options. For 2007, Mercury upped the ante with standard equipment, adding ABS, side airbags, side curtain airbags, folding front passenger seat and traction control. The carmaker also expanded the powertrain warranty to five-years/60,000-miles. A keyless entry keypad was the big addition for 2008, with updates to all optional packages being made. Aside from option package updates, it was the same as usual for 2009. A drastically updated Milan rolled off the line in 2010, offering better fuel economy, a six-speed transmission and new interior and exterior styling. Express power windows, spotter mirrors and new options marked the only changes for 2011.
