2016 Acura MDX ratings and reviews

One of the most reliable and popular in its class, the Acura MDX enters the scene for 2016 with even more to love, especially its new 9-speed transmission with paddle shifters that offer a more comfortable ride than models from previous years. Mated to a 3.5-liter V6 engine with 290 horsepower, the MDX has just enough kick to power through every drive with ease without sacrificing fuel economy with a range of 19 mpg in the city and 27 mpg on the highway. The MDX comes in five trim levels to choose the features they want, but an 8-speaker stereo system, a rearview camera with guidelines, Bluetooth phone and audio connectivity, heated mirrors, and a sunroof are some of the standard features in the base model. AcuraWatch Plus adds driver assistance technology, Entertainment tacks on an upgraded audio system and rear-seat entertainment, and Technology gives the MDX 19-inch wheels, navigation, and blind spot monitoring. Drivers can get both Technology and AcuraWatch Plus packages in the Advance trim level.
