2010 Mercedes-Benz E-Class CoupeCritical Knowledge:

2010 C-Class: All models receive a premium steering wheel, upgraded tire-pressure monitoring, and smaller exterior mirrors. There are also minor equipment and package changes, depending on the model.

2010 CL-Class: Larger side mirrors enhance visibility and all models receive standard premium leather upholstery and an upgraded audio system. A special commemorative limited-edition model is offered.

2010 CLS-Class: Mercedes-Benz offers two different V-8 engines in the CLS-Class-a standard 5.5-liter or a performance-oriented 6.3-liter tuned by AMG. There are only minor changes for 2010.

2010 E-Class: The completely redesigned sedan and all-new coupe (replacing the CLK-Class) debut with gasoline and diesel powerplants and a choice between rear- or all-wheel drive.

2010 G-Class: There are only minor cosmetic enhancements to the off-road champion of the Mercedes lineup.

2010 GL-Class: The 7-passenger SUV receives a minor facelift, new wheels and upgraded safety technology.

2010 GLK-Class: A mid-year update adds even more equipment, and the enhanced tire-pressure-monitoring system, to the compact SUV.

2010 M-Class: A hybrid variant joins the gasoline and diesel offerings in the lineup. All models receive minor equipment changes and new safety features.

2010 R-Class: New badging on the BlueTec model, smoked taillamps, added safety enhancements and new safety features debut for 2010.

2010 S-Class: In addition to a new hybrid model, the flagship sedan receives a minor facelift to accompany its added safety, audio and navigation technology.

2010 SL-Class: The SL64 AMG Black series is discontinued.

2010 SLK-Class: A limited-edition model debuts, while the rest of the lineup receives enhanced safety equipment and several new standard features.


2010 Mercedes-Benz C-Class
The smallest sedan in the lineup is only two years old-allowing Mercedes to make only minor equipment package changes, and redesign the exterior mirrors, for 2010.

  • Enhanced tire-pressure-monitoring system is now standard
  • Exterior mirrors are now smaller

2010 Mercedes-Benz CL-Class
Luxuriously appointed, the flagship CL-Class coupe benefits from new exterior mirrors, refreshed interior, and an updated audio system (including the new availability of a "Splitview" monitor). A special limited-edition model commemorates the automaker's 100th anniversary.
  • All models receive larger side-view mirrors
  • Interiors are updated with new switches and multi-color ambient lighting
  • Updated audio system with integrated Bluetooth phone connectivity, card reader, voice recognition, 7.2GB hard drive, HD radio and Zagat hotel and golf ratings

2010 Mercedes-Benz CLS-Class
Introduced in 2006, the Mercedes-Benz CLS-Class is marketed as a "four-door coupe" (a sedan body with a steeply raked, coupe-like rear roofline). Built on the previous-generation E-Class platform, the 4-passenger CLS offers higher levels of luxury and is more expensive than its traditional E-Class sibling. Mercedes-Benz offers two different V-8 engines in the CLS-Class-a standard 5.5-liter or a performance-oriented 6.3-liter tuned by AMG. There are only minor changes for 2010.

2010 Mercedes-Benz E-Class
Completely redesigned for the 2010 model year, the midsize, luxury-oriented 4-door sedan and 2-door coupe arrive with 6- or 8-cylinder engine choices and rear- or all-wheel drive. The all-new E-Class Coupe model replaces the CLK-Class in the automaker's lineup.

2010 Mercedes-Benz G-Class
Don't let its off-road capability fool you, as the G-Class (aka "Gel_ndewagen") is also impeccably appointed. While the current body style has been in production for nearly two decades, Mercedes nevertheless offers the G-Class with its latest electronics, engines and options-and the standard equipment list grows even longer for 2010.
  • Exterior enhancements include body-color door handles, new side molding, revised spare tire cover, new chrome accents and a sport-tuned exhaust system
  • Interior improvements include standard ambient lighting, 115-volt power outlet, leather-wrapped dashboard and an updated key
  • All models receive a heated wood/leather steering wheel and advanced tire-pressure-monitoring system
  • New paint: Palladium Silver

2010 Mercedes-Benz GL-Class
The largest Mercedes-Benz model in the lineup, the GL-Class is a 7-passenger, full-size sport utility vehicle that receives a slight facelift for 2010. In addition to a freshened front fascia and lights, there are new alloy wheels and enhanced safety equipment across the model range.

  • Minor interior restyling for GL350 BlueTec and GL450 includes an enhanced instrument cluster, new seats, ambient lighting and standard burl walnut trim
  • All models receive a premium leather steering wheel
  • Enhanced tire-pressure-monitoring system is now standard
  • New Post-Safe technology debuts with automatic door unlocking and engine and fuel shutoff after an accident

2010 Mercedes-Benz GLK-Class
Recently introduced as an all-new compact luxury crossover for the 2010 model year, Mercedes is treating the GLK-Class to a mid-year update with added standard features and a more comprehensive options list.
  • All-new, early-release model for 2010 gets mid-year changes

2010 Mercedes-Benz M-Class
An all-new ML450 Hybrid is the headline M-Class story for 2010. In other news, the ML350 BlueTec carries a new name (the mechanicals remain the same) while the rest of the lineup receives minor equipment changes and new standard safety features.

  • New ML450 Hybrid debuts with 275-horsepower, 3.5-liter V-6 engine and electric motor for a combined 335-horsepower rating
  • ML450 Hybrid also receives a standard 8-speed automatic transmission
  • The ML320 BlueTec has been renamed the ML350 BlueTec
  • All models receive standard burl walnut interior trim and premium leather steering wheel
  • All models receive the advanced tire-pressure-monitoring system

2010 Mercedes-Benz R-Class
The minivan-like R-Class receives new standard luxury features, standard safety enhancements, and cosmetic smoked taillamps for 2010. The BlueTec diesel model has not changed in terms of its mechanicals, but it now wears the R350 badge, bringing its nomenclature in alignment with the rest of the Mercedes family.

2010 Mercedes-Benz S-Class
The 2010 model year brings a minor exterior refresh to the flagship Mercedes-Benz S-Class sedan-with a slew of new optional innovative electronics within its luxurious cabin-and the introduction of a hybrid model aptly named the S400 Hybrid.
  • New S400 Hybrid model with mild hybrid powertrain and a lithium-ion battery
  • S400 Hybrid equipped with 275-horsepower, 3.5-liter V-6 engine, electric motor, and 7-speed automatic transmission

2010 Mercedes-Benz SL-Class
First introduced in 1957, the Mercedes-Benz SL-Class is a luxury-oriented 2-seat roadster. Originally based on the classic 1957 Mercedes-Benz Gullwing, there are four SL-Class models for 2010: SL550, SL600, SL63 AMG and SL65 AMG. The SL roadster is offered with four different engine choices including the flagship SL65 AMG fitted with a twin-turbocharged, 604-horsepower V-12 engine. Now in its fifth generation (last redesigned for 2001, but facelifted in 2008), the SL-Class is unchanged for 2010.

2010 Mercedes-Benz SLK-Class
Introduced in 1998, the Mercedes-Benz SLK-Class is a compact, 2-seat, retractable-hardtop roadster. Now in its second generation (last redesigned for the 2005 model year), the rear-wheel-drive SLK-Class is available in three models. The performance-oriented variant is the V-8-powered SLK55, complete with upgraded suspension and other sporty components. After a refresh two years ago, the SLK receives only minor changes for 2010.
