Qualification: Customers must provide the following: Copy of the lease or purchase contract from an authorized US BMW center. Copy of the customer's driver's license, a doctor's note or permit describing the adaptive equipment and reason for need (vehicle must be registered and operated by the impaired driving customer). Copy of the invoice detailing the modifications performed by a qualified National Mobility Equipment Dealers Association (NMEDA) service center. Note: In instances where an air bag or air bags are deactivated, the NHTSA approval letter must also be provided.
Eligibility: Customers who require adaptive equipment on their vehicles may qualify for reimbursement. To qualify for the one-time reimbursement, the following conditions must be met: 1) The new or Certified Pre-Owned (CPO) BMW must be purchased or leased* from an authorized BMW center in the United States 2) The vehicle modifications must be completed within the New Vehicle Limited Warranty of 4 years/50,000 miles or CPO Warranty of 6 years/100,000 miles (the earlier of 6 years/100,000 miles) 3) The vehicle modification must meet certain criteria listed in the table below to qualify for reimbursement. Customers cannot be reimbursed more then $2,500.
