2006 Mitsubishi Ratings, Reviews and Awards

To stay in line with its competition, Mitsubishi offered some big upgrades to two of its most popular vehicles, the Lancer and Eclipse, for the 2006 model year. New to the Lancer was a redesigned front end, daytime running lights, and a made over interior with upgraded fabric. Late in the year, Mitsubishi also added on an SE trim with a 2.0-liter I-4 engine and a sunroof. The Lancer Evolution IX also entered the scene this year, replacing the Evo trim and offering a turbocharged engine for a power boost. As for the Eclipse, two engines were available to power its wider and longer base, and the sporty car got an exterior redesign that left it looking more like its original models and upgraded suspension to enhance its adventurous drive. Minor updates came to the Galant with slight tweaks to the interior and standard ABS brakes.
