Minor changes graced the 1998 Oldsmobile 88, including an updated fuel cap, updated ABS with wheel-speed sensors and standard second-generation airbags. Two new colors were added in 1998, with updates made to trim levels and the addition of the 50th Anniversary Edition Eighty-Eight signature trim.
