Changes to 2021 Mitsubishi Models Include Mild Revisions and an All-Around Safety Bump
For Mitsubishi, 2021 is a “gap year” of sorts. With important 2022 model-year debuts happening during the first half of 2021, the company is likely planning to sell down existing stocks of its Eclipse Cross and Outlander SUVs before replacements arrive. Meanwhile, all 2021 models gain new standard safety features and Mitsubishi’s only remaining car models, the Mirage hatchback and Mirage G4 sedan, receive minor makeovers this year. The company’s plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV), the 2021 Outlander PHEV, gets a new powertrain and is likely to continue in its current form after the 2022 Outlander arrives.
