Each year, the J.D. Power Initial Quality StudySM (IQS) surveys tens of thousands of verified new-vehicle owners who purchased a new car, truck, SUV, or van about the quality of the vehicle during the first 90 days of ownership. Based on this research, J.D. Power formulates Power Circle Ratings, consumer-friendly reflections of the data designed to help consumers when they shop for a new vehicle.

This Top-Rated 2014 Crossover SUVs guide lists, in alphabetical order, those crossover SUV models receiving a Power Circle Rating of 4.5 or 5 out of a possible 5 for initial quality.


2014 BMW X3

The BMW X3 is a compact, 5-passenger crossover SUV offered with a choice of a turbocharged 4-cylinder or a turbocharged 6-cylinder engine. Rear-wheel drive is standard, with all-wheel drive available as an option.

2014 Chevrolet Equinox

The Chevy Equinox is a compact, 5-passenger crossover SUV powered by a 4-cylinder or V-6 engine, and equipped with front-wheel or all-wheel drive.

2014 Ford Edge
