The Ram 1500 Revolution is the automaker’s first electric pickup and the last announced by an American manufacturer. The truck features a sleek look and rides on a new body-on-frame electric vehicle (EV) architecture. Though Ram hasn’t announced detailed specs yet, the automaker says the Ram 1500 Revolution will offer class-leading range, towing, payload, and charge times.

The Revolution electric truck is still in the concept stage, but Ram says it’s a near-production concept. The truck could change between now and the official release, but the final product won’t be drastically different from what we see here.

2025 Ram 1500 Revolution Exterior

Ram calls the Revolution “brutiful,” or brutal yet beautiful. The grille features an illuminated Ram logo flanked by animated “tuning fork” LED lights. The front doors open in a “grand saloon” style, which involves the rear door opening toward the back of the vehicle, aka suicide doors. Without a B-pillar, the Revolution’s cabin opens wide when you swing the doors out, and the truck comes with flush door handles and powered side steps.
The Revolution’s side mirrors are smaller than traditional truck mirrors and use 3D-printed materials, which Ram says reduces drag and weight. Each mirror houses a camera system that appears to project an image inside the cabin. Ram didn’t elaborate on the tech side of the mirrors, but the photos it shared show a mirror interface on the infotainment system.
2025 Ram 1500 Revolution Interior

Ram says it planned the Revolution’s interior as one continuous space, front to back. The idea is to have an interior that can offer different configurations, such as a removable center console, third-row jump seats, and fold-flat seats for work or rest. A rail system on the floor allows the movement of seats and other components; you can also use them for cargo tie-downs. The rails extend to the front trunk (frunk) and the bed.
The Revolution comes with a powered mid-gate, which is the barrier between the cab and bed in pickup trucks. Part of the gate opens to allow a passthrough that extends into the frunk if needed. The system can accommodate items up to 18 feet long and doesn’t cut into passenger space.
2025 Ram 1500 Revolution Specs
Ram hasn’t shared full specs for the Revolution yet but did provide a few details. A dual-motor powertrain offers all-wheel drive. The motors reside toward the front and rear of the truck. Ram says they configured the electric truck to accept different types of motors, including performance powertrains. Will there be a Ram 1500 Revolution TRX?
The truck comes with 15 degrees of four-wheel steering, which Ram says enables tighter turns and easier maneuvering in tight urban spaces. According to Ram, the truck can add up to 100 miles of range in 10 minutes using 800-volt DC fast charging and can handle speeds up to 350 kW.
2025 Ram 1500 Revolution Safety
The Ram 1500 Revolution will be capable of Level 3+ autonomous driving, meaning it can pilot itself in specific situations and will not require a person to intervene. It pairs with an augmented-reality head-up display that helps the driver see things outside their normal field of view and can display other information in front of the driver.
2025 Ram 1500 Revolution Technology
The Ram 1500 Revolution will bring a wealth of advanced tech, including an AI-powered virtual assistant that uses a 3D Ram avatar as the vehicle’s face. It can respond to voice commands, and some features work while the driver is outside the vehicle. Additionally, the driver can ask the truck to follow them while walking, which allows the driver to move the truck short distances without getting in and out. Ram says this could be useful in situations like picking up tools on a job site, where there are multiple stops in short succession.
The driver can change interior cabin modes through the infotainment system; each one brings a different seating configuration. The truck comes with Productivity Mode, Social Mode, Party Mode, Relax Mode, and customizable user modes.
Two 14.2-inch displays come standard; occupants can adjust or remove the lower unit. Ram says the display can function as a tablet, passenger display, or gaming controller. Also, an external projector system helps the truck communicate with its owner and can also serve as a movie projector.
2025 Ram 1500 Revolution Competitors
The electric truck landscape will be a busy place when the Ram lands. The Ford F-150 Lightning will be a few years old by that time, and industry observers expect the automaker to release a next-generation model in 2025. The Chevrolet Silverado EV and GMC Sierra EV will pose intense competition and offer similar features, such as the power mid-gate option.
