New for 2014:Mini

2014 Mini Overview

Perhaps the most recognizable of all current Minis--the 2-door Hardtop--carries over almost unchanged for 2014, except for a new City Pack equipment package that's now available across the company's entire lineup. Look for redesigned Mini Cooper Hardtop and Convertible models to debut for 2015.

Likewise, the 2014 Mini Coupe, Roadster, and Clubman are virtually identical to their 2013 predecessors, with the City Pack package being the sole differentiator.

There's more news to report for the 2014 Mini Countryman, which eliminates its dual rear bucket seats and center rail to make way for a standard 3-passenger bench seat, dual cupholders, and a power outlet. Buyers also get standard heated mirrors and windshield washer nozzles, and have the opportunity to dress their cars with new John Cooper Works (JCW) interior and exterior trim packages.

Designers have used a similar approach to update the 2014 Mini Paceman. In lieu of the rear center rail, there are two cupholders, a power outlet, and an iPod holder. This 2-door hardtop also comes standard with the heated mirrors and washer nozzles.

2014 Mini Clubman

The front-wheel-drive (FWD) Clubman, like all 2014 Minis, is now available with a City Pack package consisting of an alarm system, power-folding mirrors, heated mirrors and windshield washer nozzles, interior and exterior auto-dimming rearview mirrors, and rear park-assist sensors.

Buyers have the choice of base Clubman, Clubman S, and Clubman JCW trim levels. The utilitarian Mini Clubvan was discontinued shortly after its debut.

2014 Mini Countryman

Of all 2014 Mini models, the 4-door Countryman has undergone the most significant updates, including the addition of standard heated mirrors and windshield washer nozzles, and a rear bench seat replacing the dual buckets and unique center rail features on previous iterations. As a result, standard seating capacity has been bumped up to five. Designers have also incorporated a couple of cupholders and a power outlet into the rear seating area.

The new City Pack package is offered on the 2014 Mini Countryman, as are JCW interior and exterior packages with upgrades such as a lower body kit and unique alloy wheels, sport seats with special upholstery, automatic climate control, fog lights, and more.

Mini builds the Countryman in FWD Cooper and Cooper S trim levels, as well as all-wheel-drive (AWD) Cooper S All4 and JCW All4 variants.

2014 Mini Hardtop and Convertible

Redesigned Mini Cooper Hardtop and Convertible models are on the horizon for 2015, which means updates are minimal for 2014. In fact, the only change is the debut of the City Pack package.

As is the case with other Mini models, the FWD Hardtop and Convertible are offered in base Cooper, Cooper S, and JCW trim levels.

A comfort-tuned suspension is standard, though buyers can opt for sport-tuned components at no extra cost.
