MY 2019 marks a busy year for the automaker with updates to nearly its entire SUV lineup. The Discovery earns some exterior stylistic changes that give it an edgier profile. Tech gets an update with an upgraded infotainment system and the addition of smartphone integration with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The cockpit earns a modest redesign. A major makeover is on tap for it and the Sport version in 2020. Stay tuned. The Range Rover adds the brand-new P400e plug-in hybrid to the fold. It also receives the tech enhancements. It has a combined 398-horsepower, 2.0-liter four-cylinder turbocharged engine mated with an electric motor and a lithium-ion battery pack. Its maximum electric-only range is 31 miles. An eight-speed automatic transmission and four-wheel drive top off the powertrain. Steering assist comes to the adaptive cruise control for a safer ride. The Range Rover Evoque and Sport also get tech love, while the Range Rover Velar stays the same.
