For a long time building cars with all-wheel drive technology, Subaru officially enters the sport utility vehicle marketplace with the new B9 Tribeca. A premium-trimmed seven-passenger vehicle, the 2006 Subaru B9 Tribeca is propelled by a potent six-cylinder engine. The Impreza and Forester line-ups enjoy an output boost for 2006 with a base 173-horsepower, 2.5-liter flat-4 power unit and a 230-horsepower, turbocharged engine. The Impreza also receives its third front end change in five model years as it adopts Subaru's new corporate image. The new grille center of the 2006 Subaru Impreza and B9 Tribeca resembles the intake of a jet engine recalling the auto company's parent company's aviation past.
