As Toyota sought approval from a younger automotive audience in the 1980s and 1990s, the company pushed numerous small coupes. The Celica and the Supra were a long-present forerunner in the Toyota coupe line-up. Those Toyota coupes are known as high-performance vehicles eventually adding turbocharging and all-wheel drive. Until the late 1980s, a two-door coupe version of the Corolla was also a common sight. In recent years, Toyota vehicles built with a coupe body style have been rare to nonexistent. The latest Toyota assembled as a coupe was a Camry-based two-door called the Solara.
