While the roadster version of the Porsche 356 is widely-celebrated, the first production Porsche was also supplied as a hardtop sport coupe. One of the most iconic performance coupes ever sold, Porsche's 911 has maintained a fundamental form for more than 50 years. Transitioning from air-cooled to liquid-cooled engines, adding all-wheel drive and most recently adopting to available four-wheel steering, the Porsche 911 hardtop remains a desirable, modern sport coupe. Porsche also offered a number of coupes positioned below the 911 providing a more affordable sports car option for potential buyers. In the mid-2000s, the Porsche Cayman was created as a new entry-level coupe relative to the Boxster. Porsche has also offers an interesting twist on the coupe with the detachable Targa roof.
