Jacob George is the Vice President of Global Consulting Services for J.D. Power. He is responsible for managing the global product and retail performance improvement consulting services for the company’s clients.
Mr. George has nearly 25 years of experience in the automotive industry. Since joining J.D. Power in 2001, he has served in a number of roles worldwide. Most recently, he was the Managing Director of China Operations for J.D. Power Asia Pacific. There, his responsibilities included benchmark research, proprietary studies and consulting services. Previously, he was based in the company’s Munich office, where he facilitated quality improvement—from product development through the retail process—for an auto manufacturing company. Earlier, he served in the Michigan office, where he managed a staff of research and consulting professionals focused on improving the product quality performance at large U.S. and European vehicle manufacturers.
Previously, Mr. George was a director at Strategic Business Processes, a boutique strategy consulting company. Earlier, he worked for 15 years at General Motors in a variety of positions, moving from advanced engineering to manufacturing to strategic planning to marketing and forecasting.
Mr. George received both bachelor’s and master’s degrees in electrical engineering from Purdue University and an MBA from the University of Michigan. He is a licensed Professional Engineer in the state of Michigan and holds two patents in advanced manufacturing technologies.
