Greg began his love of the automotive business at a young age and followed in his father’s footsteps as he began his working career. During his University days Greg spent several work terms learning the financial aspects of the business working at General Motors now defunct finance arm GMAC. Upon graduation he joined Enterprise Rent-a-Car as a Management Trainee and quickly became the Remarketing Manager of the western division in Canada, responsible for purchasing and selling their fleet of rental vehicles.
After his father became a partner in a General Motors store, Greg returned to his roots and began a 16 year stint in various roles that ultimately lead to a management role within the store. When the store was sold in 2013, Greg returned to the Corporate world and joined the newly formed GM Financial.
In the spring of 2014 the retail world once again beckoned him back and he joined the Humberview Group at one of their Etobicoke General Motors stores. Here he was given the opportunity to expand his education and completed the NADA Academy’s Dealership Operations course in the summer of 2016. That same summer, the opportunity to become a General Manager at the group’s Ford Store in Barrie presented itself, and while this new brand was a whole new world for him; he jumped at the opportunity to join a great new team.
Some 2 years later, he and the team at Bayfield Ford Lincoln continue to pursue their goal of “serving our customers better, each and every day” and with the foundations of respect, honesty, integrity, transparency and teamwork, they are determined to continue to grow in the ever changing world of automotive retail.
