Dodge Debuts 2020 Challenger 50th Anniversary Commemorative Edition

Liz Kim | Jun 08, 2020

Dodge celebrates the Challenger’s 50th birthday by dressing it up with a new Anniversary Commemorative Edition package. This option is available for the Challenger R/T ($4,995), R/T Scat Pack ($5,495), and R/T Scat Pack Widebody ($11,495, including the Widebody upgrade), and also comes with a chance to attend a one-day performance driving school at a racetrack.

2020 Dodge Challenger 50th Anniversary Edition Smoke Show

With the 50th Anniversary Commemorative Edition package, the 2020 Dodge Challenger is decked out with a Satin Black hand-painted hood, a black roof, a black trunk lid, and a black fuel-filler door. Further modifications include special badges, LED-illuminated “50” logos on the headlights, and 20-inch wheels finished in Gold School to match the badges. With Brembo brakes, the calipers are painted Gunmetal. Paint color choices include Smoke Show (new for 2020), Granite, Indigo Blue, Octane Red, Pitch Black, Triple Nickel, and White Knuckle.

Inside, you’ll find heated and ventilated performance seats covered in premium Nappa leather and Alcantara suede, with matching Alcantara door panel trim, all accessorized with brown accent stitching and “50” logos. You’ll find genuine carbon fiber cabin trim with a copper weave, Berber carpeted floor mats, and white-faced gauges with yellow accents. And when you start the car, an animation featuring the 1970 Challenger displays on the driver information center between the gauges.

To learn how to control all of the Challenger’s underhood muscle, the 50th Anniversary Commemorative Edition also includes a free day of training and driving at the Bob Bondurant School of high-performance driving in Chandler, Arizona. According to the Bondurant website, this is a $1,899 value.

The 2020 Challenger 50th Anniversary Commemorative Edition will be available for orders in late June and will arrive in dealer showrooms in the fall. Dodge says that it is not a limited edition run, so anyone who wants one can get one.
