5 Fast Facts:2016 Subaru Impreza

Joseph Dobrian | May 10, 2016
The Impreza is Subaru’s entry-level sedan. It holds an IIHS “Top Safety Pick designation,” due in part to its EyeSight Driver Assist Technology. It features standard symmetrical all-wheel drive (AWD), and available Starlink safety and security features available for 2016. Driver Assist Technology includes adaptive cruise control, pre-collision braking and vehicle lane-departure warning, available on Limited, Sport Premium, and Sport Limited trim levels.

Here are more facts about the 2016 Subaru Impreza:

1) Imprezas equipped with EyeSight also come with steering-responsive fog lights. This feature, which works only when the fog lights are turned off, activates the left or right fog light independently, depending on vehicle speed and steering angle, to provide enhanced illumination in the direction of the turn. The fog lights are pre-aimed for maximum coverage in corners.
2) All 2016 Imprezas feature a 148-horsepower, 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine, with a Lineartronic continuously variable transmission (CVT) standard on Premium and Limited trims. A 5-speed manual transmission is standard in the base 2.0i and Sport Premium trims.
3) The standard multimedia system features a 6.2-in. multi-function touch-screen display with single-touch gesture control. The display also functions for the standard rear-vision camera. It includes 4 speakers; the Impreza 2.0i Premium features the same system, but with 6 speakers. Limited trim features a 7-in. touch-screen display with multi-touch swipe and scrolling gesture control. A navigation system that can be controlled with voice commands is optional for the 4-door Limited and Sport Limited trims.
4) Standard amenities include a tilt-and-telescoping steering wheel, rear-vision camera, 60/40 split fold-down rear seat backs, outside temperature gauge, multi-function display with fuel economy information, steering wheel audio and Bluetooth control switches, remote keyless entry system, security system with engine immobilizer, and carpeted floor mats.
5) Various upgrades to the interior and exterior are available at all trim levels, as packages or as stand-alone options, including a power moonroof and premium upholstery.
