With almost identical powertrains, fuel ratings, and performances, it can be tough for those on the market for a new minivan to choose between the 2019 Chrysler Pacifica and the Honda Odyssey. However, there are a few key differences between the two that are important to consider before purchasing one. The Odyssey is more readily available for towing than the Pacifica, including towing accessories on each of its six trim levels and a rear stabilizer bar to provide steadiness on turns in addition to its stability control system. The Odyssey also includes some technology and convenience lacking as standard features in the Pacifica, like dual-zone automatic climate control, a power driver’s seat, floor mats, and a roof rack. The Pacifica has perks of its own, though, like standard heated mirrors, a standard rearview camera with ultrasonic sensors, and a fold-down rear seat. It’s also a bit on the sportier side, offering a perky performance that could be more fun to drive than you’d expect from a minivan. With six trims and various packages to choose from, drivers can add everything from a roadside emergency kit to an upgraded Harmon Kardon sound system.
