Aggressive performance and style are what people love most about the Chevrolet Camaro and Ford Mustang, and their 2019 model versions continue to up the ante for their competitors. Each sports car offers plenty of bang for your buck regarding excitement and convenience, but there are a few key differences to consider. While both offer incredible styling inside and out, Chevrolet’s attention to detail in the interior surpasses the Mustang’s sporty, yet somewhat understated, cockpit. The Camaro’s cockpit looks and feels more track-ready, with a customizable touchscreen and instrument cluster, choices for ambient lighting colors, and a wide range of trim options for drivers to completely makeover the inside to meet their needs for athleticism. As for performance, both cars offer more than one engine option. The Mustang has a 2.3-liter V6 for its EcoBoost trims, while the GT gets an impressive 5.0-liter V8. For the Camaro, drivers can choose between a 2.0-liter turbo 4-cylinder, a 3.6-liter V6, a 6.2-liter V8, and a 6.2 -liter supercharged V8, each available on different trim levels. If a base model is the only one you’re considering, the Mustang’s standard V6 is more powerful with 310 horsepower than the Camaro’s, but it gets slightly less fuel mileage in the city.
