Lexus’ 2019 vehicle lineup kicks off with some great performance features. In the Lexus ES sedan, the newly updated 3.5L V6 engine is 34hp more powerful than before, totaling 336 hp in total along with 267 lb-ft of torque. The ES300 is the new hybrid model Lexus, which uses a 2.5L inline four-cylinder engine which can produce 215 hp, a notable increase from prior models. The ES series also gains a new roofline which is more aerodynamic, which makes its debut on the upgraded ES350. The ES350 can also accommodate the F-sport adaptive dampers, slightly larger wheels and tires, and enhanced engine acoustics to provide a sportier feeling. The ES series also incorporates new driver safety features like adaptive cruise control and lane keeping assistance. These features are joined by other new safety features like pedestrian detection and bicyclist detection which will contribute to the entire line’s drivability.
