The 2018 Kia Optima Plug-In Hybrid gets the equivalent of 103 mpg when running on the electric motor only. The hybrid feature has a combined fuel economy of 40 mpg. Available in just one trim level, the Plug-In Hybrid has a 2.0-liter inline-4 + Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor with an Electronically Controlled 6-Speed Automatic with H-Matic transmission. On the all-electric function, it has a driving range of up to 29 miles. Inside the plug-in Optima, you're likely to find the same standard features as on other Optima miles. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard, as is an 8-inch touchscreen. A rearview camera is also a standard feature, while backup assist, lane change assist and blind spot detection are all optional features. The driver's seat is designed for comfort, with a 12-way power adjustable feature and a four-way power lumbar support. Heated front seats are standard and heated rear seats are an optional feature.
