2018 Kia Niro ratings and reviews
A relative newcomer, the Kia Niro first appeared in 2017. The 2018 Kia Niro has several updates over the past year's model, including the introduction of Lane Keep Assist, which steps in for the Lane Departure Warning system. An advanced tech package is available as a standard option on the Touring trim level. EX trim models, the second highest option, have an electrochromic rearview mirror, which is meant to reduce glare. The 2018 Kia Niro has a combined fuel economy rating of 50 mpg, making it one of the most fuel-efficient hybrids available. The entry-level trim option, the Niro FE has standard features including a touchscreen, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto. Each model level comes with a 1.6 L 4-cylinder and Full Parallel Hybrid System engine as standard and a dual-clutch six-speed automatic transmission. The Touring and EX models also offer Rear Cross-Traffic Alert as a standard feature.
