2017 Jeep Patriot ratings and reviews
Made with Jeep’s famous boxy design, the 2017 Jeep Patriot also takes on the manufacturer’s favorite rugged features like rear multi-link suspension and quick, responsive handling. The Patriot comes in four trim levels, each with front or 4WD options. The base model, Sport, and the Latitude come with an I-4 engine with a 5-speed manual transmission, which is upgraded to a CVT with the Sport SE. The High Altitude trim gets standard 4x4 and a 6-speed automatic transmission coupled to the I-4 engine. Standard features across the board include a post-collision safety system, MOPAR Katzkin leather seats, and a rear back-up camera, but High Altitude adds a 6-way power driver’s seat and ventilated front and rear disc brakes. Several add-ons are available for each trim, including navigation, upgraded audio systems, a vehicle tracking system, trailer towing accessories, and a security alarm. Each configuration comes with Jeep’s 3-year/36,000-mile bumper-to-bumper warranty.
