2017 Volkswagen Jetta ratings and reviews

2015 was a rough year for Volkswagen, and the 2017 Volkswagen Jetta is proof of the German carmaker's troubles. Following what was dubbed "DieselGate," the carmaker eliminated all diesel engine offerings from its lineup. For the Jetta, it also got rid of the hybrid option for 2017, leaving only two 1.4-liter turbocharged inline-4-cylinder engines and a 2.0-liter turbocharged inline-4. The number of trims available in 2017 also got cut, down to just four: S, SE, SEL, and GLI. The base-level S trim offers a rearview camera, five-speed manual transmission, 16-inch wheels, and five-inch color touchscreen infotainment system. The SE model offers a sunroof, blind-spot monitoring, and push-button start while the SEL models include an automatic transmission as a standard feature and dual-zone climate control. The performance-focused GLI trim has the 2.0-liter turbocharged inline-4 engine with a sport-tuned suspension and 210 horsepower.
