2017 Mercedes-Benz Ratings, Reviews and Awards

Although Mercedes-Benz continues to have one of the most extensive global vehicle lineups, the manufacturer continues to impress with its changes each year. Although seemingly minor tweaks found their way to most Mercedes-Benz vehicles in 2017, the overall upgrades are significant when thought of in terms of quantity. Most of the brand’s changes this year focused on trim updates, retirees, and newcomers, like the C-Class’ new C350e Plug-In Hybrid model and the new AMG GLE43 overtaking the GLE450 AMG. The shifting of trims assisted Mercedes-Benz in making some notable changes for 2018, when even more models and body styles entered the line. New body styles joined the C-Class lineup – a coupe and convertible – to give more versatility to the pack, but the most significant changes for 2017 happened in the E-Class, which got a slightly larger body size, a redesigned interior, and an engine coupled with a 9-speed transmission carried over from the C-Class.
