2017 Jeep Ratings, Reviews and Awards

For 2017, Jeep though small, giving most of its attention to redesigning the Compass, its contribution to the compact SUV segment. The 2017 Compass was actually available in two iterations, the first a carryover from 2016 and the second the new and improved model. The refreshed 2017 Compass has a new engine, a2.4-liter inline-4 engine with either front or all-wheel-drive. Transmission options include a standard six-speed manual, a six-speed automatic (FWD only), or a nine-speed automatic (AWD). On the interior, new features include UConnect 4, an infotainment system with a 5-inch touchscreen and the option to upgrade to a larger screen and to include Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. There are few changes in 2017 elsewhere in the Jeep lineup, although the Grand Cherokee adds a Trailhawk trim level, which as 18-inch off-road wheels, a unique air suspension and Quadra-Drive II.
