BMW's 2017 X5 is a luxury, large crossover SUV (called an SAV by the company). It has three rows of seating and room for up to seven passengers, although the third-row seating is pretty cramped. Standard features on the base model, the sDrive35i include heated, 10-way power front seats, a moonroof, iDrive 5.0, navigation and a 10.2-inch high-resolution touchscreen, a rearview camera, 9-speaker audio system and xenon adaptive headlights. The xDrive50i throws in leather seats as well as 20-way power front seats and 19-inch wheels. 2017 X5 models include five years or 50,000 miles of complimentary maintenance. Engine options include a 3.0-liter, turbocharged inline-6 engine for sDrive35i and xDrive35i models, a4.4-liter twin-turbo V8 engine with either 445 or 567 horsepower for xDrive50i and X5 M models, a 3.0-liter, turbodiesel inline-6 for xDrive35d models, and a plug-in hybrid option with a turbocharged inline-4 and 111-horsepower electric motor (xDrive40e).
