2017 BMW M6 ratings and reviews
Under the hood of the 2017 BMW M6 is a twin-turbo, 4.4-liter V8 engine with 560 horsepower between 5,750 and 7,000 RPM. Transmission options are either a six-speed manual or a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic. Both options have rear-wheel-drive. The M6 isn't a car for people concerned about fuel economy, as the manual versions get 22 mpg/highway and the automatic get 20/mpg highway. An automatic engine start/stop feature helps to cut down on fuel use slightly. A new option for the 2017 M6 is the Competition Package. With the Competition Package, engine power jumps to 600 horsepower due to higher turbo boost pressure. The Competition Package also has revised suspension, stability control, and steering as well as 20-inch wheels. The top speed jumps from 156 to 190 mph.
