2016 Volvo Ratings, Reviews and Awards
An $11 billion investment from Chinese automaker Geely has led to several considerable changes to the brand's models. The S60 luxury sedan added two new models to its lineup for 2016, including a long-wheelbase version that adds three inches of legroom. The other model is the S60 Cross Country, which has a raised height and all-wheel-drive. The S80 Sedan was replaced in early 2016 with the S90 as the brand's flagship sedan. The car to see the most changes in 2016 was the XC90, which the brand rebuilt from the ground up. The XC90 was the first model built using Volvo's new scalable product architecture (the S90 would follow a few months later). Standard features on the XC90 include a Clean Zone Air Quality System, WiFi hotspot, GPS navigation, and a panoramic sunroof. The XC90 also boasts a variety of safety features (it is a Volvo, after all), such as Pedestrian and Cyclist Detection, Lane Departure Warning, and Run-Off-Road protection.
