2016 Nissan Ratings, Reviews and Awards
For 2016, Nissan bid farewell to some of its underperformers and reintroduced or revitalized some of its more popular models. The model to get the biggest makeover for 2016 is the Nissan Titan XD, the brand's heavy-duty pickup truck. Initially, the Titan XD was available with a Cummins 5.0-liter turbodiesel V8, although 5.6-liter V8 engine was introduced as an option later in the year. While the Titan XD is entirely new for 2016, other models in Nissan's lineup got more subtle updates. The Altima sedan and Sentra compact sedan both got mid-cycle refreshes. Changes include new safety and driver assist features, such as forward emergency braking. Both models get new headlights and tail lights. One last notable change to Nissan's lineup for 2016: the brand has extended the range of the Leaf, its electric vehicle, to 107 miles, on the SV and SL trims.
