2015 BMW X1 ratings and reviews

2015 marks the third year in existence for the BMW X1 compact crossover SUV. The most junior member of the German carmaker's X series, both regarding size and age, the X1 still offers many of the same choices you'd get with larger X series SUVs. There are three available trims. The base trim, the sDrive28i, comes with standard features such as automatic climate control, dynamic cruise control, rain-sensing windshield wipers, and an eight-speaker audio system. The next trim up, the xDrive28i, has AWD. Finally, the top-of-the-line trim, the xDrive35i, has power front seats, a moonroof, 18-inch wheels, and xenon headlights. The base engine, offered with the sDrive28i and the xDrive28i, is a 2.0-liter turbocharged inline-4. The four-cylinder engine is connected to an eight-speed automatic transmission. The xDrive35i has a 3.0-liter turbocharged inline-6 engine with 300 horsepower and a six-speed automatic transmission.
