2014 Toyota Ratings, Reviews and Awards

To keep its popular Corolla sedan competitive with its rivals, like the Ford Focus and Hyundai Elantra, Toyota put much of its focus on the 2014 Corolla while the rest of its lineup received only minor changes. New to the Corolla was a sleek new style with revised headlights and a larger, but more aerodynamic, body. Toyota also tweaked the powertrain options for the Corolla, offering a choice of two 4-cylinders with the option of adding a CVT. The new LE Eco trim was an exciting addition, making the Corolla more fuel efficient, aerodynamic, and eco-friendly. The only update to the Camry was an SE Sport trim with new wheels and a moonroof, while the Prius received standard daytime running lights. Improvements to the Avalon included a standard rearview backup system across all trims and an optional blind spot monitoring system. Toyota dropped the Matrix for this year based on its rough sales history.
