2011 Mitsubishi Ratings, Reviews and Awards

Starting in 2011, Mitsubishi shifted its focus and decided to be a more family-friendly car maker. What that meant was that it began to offer two iterations of its popular models. In 2011, the car manufacturer introduced the Outlander Sport, the mini-SUV version of its bestselling Outlander SUV. The Outlander Sport had a few things in common with its older sibling, notably the same 105-inch wheelbase. But where the Outlander had three rows of seating, the Sport model has two. The Outlander Sport is also about 15 inches shorter than its sister SUV and about 400 pounds lighter. It's not only SUVs that got a bit of an update from Mitsubishi in 2011. The car maker's Lancer sedan saw an improvement in fuel economy across all trim levels. GTS models also include the FUSE hands-free link system as a standard feature and a 2.4-liter in-line 4 engine.
