2008 Porsche Ratings, Reviews and Awards

For many people, "Porsche" means sports car and the company kept up the reputation in 2008 by making several refinements and alterations to its iconic 911 Carrera model. For 2008, the 911 was available in three body styles -- the Targa, Coupe, and Cabriolet, as well as all-wheel and rear-drive and in a standard and sport version. The brand made a few updates to service recommendations for 2008, including raising the oil change recommendation to every 12,000 miles and recommending spark plug replacement every 36,000 miles. The interior of the 911 began to offer bucket seats with fold-down backrests. Porsche's entry into the SUV market, the Cayenne, got more of a makeover in 2008, with the introduction of the second generation of the model. The new generation Cayenne looked much the same as the first generation, but offered more powerful engine options with greater horsepower and improved gas efficiency.
