2008 Land Rover Ratings, Reviews and Awards

The iconic Land Rover brand makes few changes for 2008, relying instead on a tried-and-true mix of off-road capability and indoor style and quality. New for this year, however, is the LR2. With five seats and off-road chops, this SUV hums along at 230hp thanks to its 3.2 L engine. It gets a combined 19 mpg, standard stability system, panoramic moonroof, and rollover mitigation system. The Range Rover sees few updates and instead maintains its 305hp, 4.4 L, V-8 engine, five seats, standard full-time four-wheel-drive, and Terrain Response system. It is available in Supercharged and HSE trims. The Range Rover Sport, however, offers two V-8 engine choices, and a navigation system standard on both. While it's not a sportier version of the Range Rover, rather a different vehicle on a different platform, its 300hp, 4.4L engines get a combined 15 mpg.
