2008 Jaguar Ratings, Reviews and Awards

2008 sees Jaguar going through some upheaval; its Super V8, Vanden Plas, and XK8 models didn't make it into 2008, and this will be the final year for the S-Type and X-Type. Both the latter models won't see much updating because of this, with the S-Type getting just a few tweaks to the exterior features. It maintains its 235hp, 3.0 L, V-6 engine (it also comes in a supercharged V-8) with six-speed automatic transmission and a wide array of standard safety features. The X-type's engine and drivetrain remain identical to 2007, with the 3.0 L, V-6 engine putting out 227 hp and coming with standard all-wheel-drive in the sportwagon or sedan trims. The XKR, the high-performance version of the Jaguar XK, is also largely unchanged and comes in a coupe or a convertible. While the XK has a 4.2 L, V-8 that runs 300hp, the XKR is supercharged and produces 420hp.
