2007 Mazda Ratings, Reviews and Awards

Best known for its sporty coupes, such as the Mazda Miata and its compact sedans, such as the popular Mazda 3, Mazda jumped into the crossover/SUV world in 2007 with the introduction of the Mazda CX-7, a five-passenger SUV that closely resembled the brand's high-performance RX-8 couple. The CX-7 featured a turbocharged four-cylinder engine that offered 244 horsepower at 5,000 RPM. The 2007 CX-7 was available in three trim options, each of which had the same 2.3-liter engine and six-speed automatic transmission. The base model came with power windows and locks, air conditioning, front, rear and side airbags, and Dynamic Stability Control. Also for 2007, Mazda offered a few updates to its existing line, such as adding a retractable hardtop option for the Miata and adding the Dynamic Stability Control with Traction Control as a standard option on all five-door and four-door S Mazda 3 models.
