2007 BMW Ratings, Reviews and Awards

BMW reportedly purchased the production rights to Husqvarna motorcycles in 2007 for more than 90 million euros. Its hefty motorcycle purchase did not distract it from producing high-powered, luxury automobiles. Several of its auto lines, the 3 Series, 5 Series and 7 Series, received slight updates for 2007. The 3 Series entered its fifth generation and was offered in both sedan and sport wagon sizing. Anti-lock brakes and Dynamic Stability Control became standard on all 3 Series models, and the engines got a boost in both horsepower and torque. The 5 Series offered some small improvements for 2007, including a standard, four-year subscription package to BMW Assist, the introduction of an auxiliary jack, High Definition Radio, and a sports seat with 20 adjustment options. The 7 Series began offering 20-inch wheels in the Sport package and also offered heated front seats, power folding side mirrors and an auxiliary input as standard on all models.
