2004 Hyundai Ratings, Reviews and Awards

Hyundai made a lot of changes in 2004. Their 6-model lineup received a makeover with the bulk of the upgrades focused on their best-selling Elantra. The affordable five-passenger car, available as a four-door sedan or five-door hatchback, was almost completely redesigned for 2004. The Elantra features all-new interior and exterior stylings, including a bold grille design. Performance wise, the 2004 model comes with a 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine with 138 horsepower. Additional changes include updated safety features. The 2004 Hyundai Santa Fe is another model with noticeable improvements. In particular, the compact SUV comes with a new 3.5-liter V6 engine with 149 horsepower and 219lbs per square foot of torque. Finally, the flagship XG350 was on the receiving end of minor styling updates as well as a new 3.5-liter V6 engine with 194 horsepower.
