2003 Lexus Ratings, Reviews and Awards

Lexus entered 2003 with several models in its lineup of luxury sedans, wagons, and SUVs, but the GX 470 was one that made the most headlines for the company as a new SUV with a blend of crossover style and performance. The GX 470 came equipped with hill assistance systems, a 4.7-liter V8 engine, and a 5-speed automatic transmission. The RX and ES went mostly unchanged for this year, gearing up for a redesign for their next generations in 2004. The GS 300 received a new power moonroof as a standard feature, plus an in-dash CD changer and wider tires. The IS didn’t receive many updates for 2003, but Lexus was hard at work gearing up for its facelift for the 2004 model year with a new wheel design, redesigned lights, and driver memory functions. The only update for the sporty SC this year was an optional Lexus Link system with emergency and concierge services.
