2003 Ford Ratings, Reviews and Awards

Marking Ford’s 100th anniversary, 2003 was a significant year for the American-based company created by Henry Ford. Five of the most popular vehicles in Ford’s lineup – the Taurus, Mustang, Explorer, F-Series Super Duty, and Focus – received a Centennial Edition trim to mark the occasion. In this luxurious package, Fords saw an exclusive black clearcoat paint, special 100th anniversary badging, and wood-grain and leather seating throughout the interior, plus a keychain and a limited-edition Ford coffee table book for owners. Ford didn’t bypass its other vehicles with upgrades this year, though, gifting its Excursion with a new trim level, Eddie Bauer, with an exclusive beige interior and available captain’s chairs for the second row. New to the Ranger was a Tremor trim level, new paint colors, and step bars as standard in some trims. The Expedition received several notable changes for 2003, including a restyled front end, split seating for the second row, and a new stability control system.
