2002 Lexus Ratings, Reviews and Awards

Lexus enters each model year with impressive upgrades to its lineup, but 2002 also offered a powerful and stylish new vehicle in the SC 430, a convertible version of the SC coupe. The car came with a 4.3-liter V8 engine, high-performance 18-inch tires, traction control, brake assist, and a five-speed automatic transmission. Lexus also introduced a wagon body style for the IS 300, but both it and the sedan version got sportier suspension, side curtain airbags, and a standard stability control system. The ES 300 also received significant upgrades for the new model year, like a quieter cabin, standard antilock brakes, and a longer wheelbase, plus optional DVD-based navigation and a Mark Levinson sound system. New to the LX 470 was a standard DVD-based navigation system, while the only change for the RX 300 was the dropping of an optional package that included an upgraded audio system.
