2002 Chevrolet Ratings, Reviews and Awards

Chevrolet’s 2002 lineup took a hit when it announced that the year would be the last for the Camaro, the company’s iconic muscle car, until making its return in 2010 as a brand-new car. To mark its end, Chevrolet gave the Camaro a special anniversary package with unique details, like exterior striping, for avid fans and collectors. Chevrolet also brought in the Avalanche this year, with a blended SUV and pickup body, a 5.3-liter V8 engine, and various options, like an OnStar emergency call system and 17-inch off-roading wheels, to customize it to each driver’s preferences. The TrailBlazer also became its own Chevy offering this year, breaking away from its ties to the Blazer, with a new V6 engine, revised suspension, and a larger body that gives drivers and passengers more interior space. Other vehicles mostly received minor updates this year, like new paint colors for the Corvette and an LS Sport trim with a new engine for the Cavalier.
