2001 Nissan Ratings, Reviews and Awards

Nissan refreshed and revitalized several vehicles in its lineup for the 2001 model year. The Frontier pickup truck got a cool new look thanks to the addition of a sportier grille and fender flares with visible rivet caps. A locking tailgate is also new for 2001. Most notable is the addition of a 3.3-liter supercharged V6 engine, one of the most powerful engines ever found in a compact pickup truck. Other changes in Nissan's lineup include the addition of a Family Entertainment System with a video player and center-mounted LCD screen in the Nissan Quest minivan. The Nissan Pathfinder SUV also gets a new engine for 2001, a 3.5-liter V6 with 250 horsepower. Among its smaller vehicle offerings, Nissan added a new package option to the 2001 Altima GXE. A 2.4-liter inline-four-cylinder engine remains the option on the 2001 Altima.
