Today’s new-vehicle buyers are considering fewer models and shopping fewer dealers.

In fact, on average, buyers physically shop only 3 models, one of which they buy.

According to the recently released J.D. Power 2016 U.S. Auto Avoider StudySM, exterior styling is the top reason shoppers buy a particular model. It is also the top reason to avoid a particular vehicle, followed by the vehicle costs too much and interior styling.
