Select technologies consumers would prefer to have on their next vehicle purchase

J.D. Power’s 2015 U.S. Tech Choice StudySMsurveyed 5,300 consumers who purchased a vehicle in the past five years and asked them to select technologies they would prefer to have on their next vehicle purchase.

A key aspect of the study is determining which technologies customers value most. For example: customers who indicate they will consider a Midsize Car for their next new vehicle demonstrate different technology preferences than those who will consider a Midsize Premium Car. Though both sets of customers are considering a sedan of similar size and utility, it is important for automakers to know what types of technologies a premium customer values over a non-premium customer when considering packages and pricing.
